Point Loma Spa Guest Bathroom
Our springboard for this space was a hotel spa, complete with fluffy white towels. On the walls we used Swiss coffee BM 50%, the color was perfect yet we wanted to keep the paint light and airy. We added wooden slats for texture, color matched to the vanity doors with a custom gray-toned stain.
Reusing the existing vanity, an environmentally friendly option, we updated the look with new doors, a modern flat panel in red oak with gorgeous woodgrain. Taj Mahal Petra Stone Quartzite sits atop and is luxe yet neutral, the backsplash is an indulgent 12 inches. The faucet is a Chrome Kohler from their Components line and we incorporated brass in our Rejuvenation pulls and vanity mirror (also Rejuvenation). To keep the space well lit, we added Serena and Lily sconces in frosted glass with a fun rattan detail.
The custom walnut plinth, made by Fallen Timbers, adds an edge, on top of which sits a custom white oak vase. Art is a local photo of a LaJolla surfer, sourced from Solace Interiors.
We used a ladder and hung plush white Serena and Lily towels for décor and use. And of course, a vintage all-over print tonal Turkish rug finishes the space.
