Mood-Setting Blue

Small spaces call for big drama and this powder room provided the perfect canvas for artful experimentation. Taking interior inspiration from a piece of artwork the clients collected years ago, the rich, emotive blue hue creates a high-impact look that certainly makes guests want to linger a bit longer. The atmosphere is achieved by In The Navy from Portola, a deep shade that feels buttery, enveloping, yet sleek at the same time. Adding to the chic visual feast, a floating sink takes center stage in Fusion Light Blue quartzite with its clean lines and geometric square shape. The gorgeous blue and gray veining match back to the walls while upping the luxe factor of the space. A sexy, oval CB2 mirror with warm, golden backlighting ensures everyone looks their best and imparts a sense of je ne sais quoi. Brass finishes make a gleaming nod to metallic flecks in the piece shining under a Hudson Valley picture light. A Kohler Components streamlined faucet with rocker knob slinks into the scene with its minimalist profile that’s understated but cool. Handmade Clare Lane pottery pendant lamps sideline the sink area and warm up everything with their contrast texture and precision details. Playing on the idea of tactile accessories for sumptuous dimension, Jenny Kayne leather tassels hang from the towel rack, custom Fallen Timber Workshop french antique stools sit pretty in the corner, and a rug from Bente Vintage feels delicious underfoot. Want to stay? I sure do.
